It's Time...

Trevin loves his swing, always has, probably always will. But, it's time to get rid of it! He has realized that he can sit up in it and it scares me. I always have this thought in my head that he is just going to bend completely over and be hanging there without me noticing. He probably weighs too much to be in it as well. It has been the best thing to get him to fall asleep in, to entertain him, and to keep him in one spot so I can get things done. He is always crawling around the house! I am not sure how we are going to get him away from it, but it's time!
It's also time to get rid of the pacifier! My only worry is on Sunday in sacrament meeting when I need him to be quiet, what will I do without it? He really doesn't use it a whole lot anymore while we are at our house. I guess we will just have to take it away and take him out from sacrament if he gets loud. I have come to the realization that it may be a while before I actually get to enjoy a sacrament meeting! After I got the Hyperthyroidism, I lost a lot of weight. I wasn't deathly skinny, but I was to the weight that I have been wanting to be for a long time. After you have a child and gain a lot of weight, its awesome to get down to your regular weight and then loose a little. I have gained a little bit of that weight back. It's time to loose that weight again! I also want to start going to the gym and get a little more toned up. My sister and I are planning on getting a pass to the gym when she moves home next week from college. I really have never been to a gym so it will be a new experience for me. Maybe she can give me a few pointers.

So Happy....

for the newlyweds Rex and Graycee! Today we had the chance to go see my husbands best friend be married in the temple to a wonderful girl. It has been a while since Colby and I were able to attend the temple and it was good to go and enjoy the spirit. We were able to go to the temple on Wednesday as well when Graycee went for the first time. I missed BUNCO for the third month in a row and so I was a little upset about not being able to go and hangout with friends, but I am glad I went. We are excited to have another married couple that we can hangout with and live so close to. Being married is an awesome thing, but you also need to spend time with friends too! I think we will be spending a lot of time with Rex and Graycee. We have played games with them numerous times while they were dating and we always have the best time together. I have known Rex for a long time and Graycee has become one of my very best friends over the past couple of months!

Recipe "Tag" Time

Ok, so one of my goals is to organize my recipes. I got all of my mom's cookbooks and some of my favorite recipes that she makes. I have decided that I need some quick and easy recipes so I don't keep making the same things over and over. My husband is getting sick of it, although he doesn't admit it! So...I am starting a new "tag" and I really want everyone to post two of their favorite recipes on their blog so we can all share some new and easy dinner ideas! I am sure you are always looking for new things to cook just like me!
I will start the Tag:

Chicken Roll Ups (My husbands favorite)
1 1/2 cups of chicken, cooked and cubed (or you can use the canned chicken)
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cube of butter or margarine
1 Package of Cream Cheese
1 small can cream of chicken soup
1 cup of milk
1 can refrigerator crescent rolls

Mix chicken with shredded cheese, butter (softened), and cream cheese. Unroll crescent rolls and place approximately 2 Tbs. of chicken mixture into the center of each roll. Roll crescent roll so chicken is in the middle. Make sure to tuck in any loose corners so while baking it will not leak out the sides. Repeat with each roll. Place rolls in an ungreased casserole dish. Bake uncovered on 350 degrees for approximately 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. While rolls are cooking, mix cream of chicken soup and milk together and heat over the stove. Pour soup over rolls after they are done baking. Option: May also roll crescent rolls in bread crumbs before baking.

Italian Chicken
2-4 skinless Chicken Breasts or 6-8 Chicken fingers thawed
1 Cube of butter
1 Package of dry italian dressing
1 8oz cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can water

Mix chicken, butter, and italian dressing in crock pot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until chicken is cooked. After chicken is done cooking, shred with a fork or cube. Then add cream cheese, water, and soup. Continue to cook in crock pot until cream cheese and soup are heated and evenly blended. Serve over noodles or rice.

I hope everyone will enjoy! Let me know if you have questions or if something isn't clear! Thanks!

Accomplished Something Today

Today I told myself I was going to get a lot accomplished. After Colby left for work, these are the things I have accomplished so far:
2 Loads of Laundry (many more to do)
Pulled weeds
Tilled the dirt in our yard (my dad did this)
Planted some of my flowers (Bulbs) with help from my mom
Set up a dinner menu through the month of May
Made Lunch
Changed two stinky diapers, of course
Organized my food storage and pantry
Wrapped three baby gifts, finally
After all this was done, I gave Trevin a snack. He wasn't in his chair very long when my mom said she thought he was getting tired. My mom left and about five minutes later, Trevin had fallen asleep in his high chair.
Don't mind the mess on his face. I got him in the bath after he woke up. I am now going to get ready to go to work tonight! So fun!

Nine Months Already

I can't believe that my son is already 9 months old! Where has the time gone? Some of his favorite things to do are take a bath, play with his toys, and stand by the stairs as Colby comes up them (He laughs at Colby for no reason when he is on the stairs). He loves to stick his tongue out! He has started this little fake laugh thing. When he is just crawling around the house he will start laughing for no reason at all! He is so fun to have around our house! He is a busy body!

Balance

As many of you know I have been working night shift for a while now. It has been really hard for me to find balance between work and spending time with Trevin and Colby. Tonight will be my fourth night shift in a row and I feel like I haven't seen my son forever! Our May schedule just came out and I am so happy to report that I will be working mostly day shift next month! What a relief!
